500mg Metamizole Sodium Injection (Analgin Injection)

Pharmacological category: Non-opioid Analgesic, Antipyretic and Anti-inflammatory drug

Mechanism of action: A potent antipyretic and analgesic agent with strong anti-inflammatory effects. It inhibits the synthesis and release of prostaglandins in the body, blocks pain and fever signals to the central nervous system, rapidly relieves moderate to severe pain and reduces high fever. Its analgesic effect is stronger than aspirin and ibuprofen, and the antipyretic effect is rapid and lasting.

Product Description

Indications: Relief of moderate to severe pain (headache, toothache, neuralgia, muscle pain, joint pain, dysmenorrhea, postoperative pain); emergency treatment of high fever and hyperpyrexia that is ineffective to other antipyretics; adjuvant treatment of inflammatory pain caused by rheumatoid arthritis and soft tissue inflammation.

Usage and dosage: Intramuscular injection / slow intravenous injection. Adult: 0.5g ~ 1.0g (1~2 ampoules) once a time, 1~2 times a day, the maximum daily dose ≤ 2.0g. Pediatric: 5~10mg per kg body weight per time, once a day, strictly follow the doctor's advice for dosage adjustment.

Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients allergic to this product, pyrazolone derivatives and any excipients; contraindicated in patients with severe granulocytopenia and agranulocytosis; contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic and renal insufficiency and severe heart failure; contraindicated in pregnant women, lactating women and infants under 3 months old.

Cautious population: Use with extreme caution in patients with a history of blood system diseases; use with caution in elderly patients with reduced organ function (reduce dosage); use with caution in patients with gastric ulcer and gastrointestinal bleeding history; long-term use should monitor blood routine regularly to avoid bone marrow suppression; avoid combined use with other analgesics and antipyretics to prevent overdose.

Adverse reactions: Common reactions: mild local pain, swelling and induration at intramuscular injection site; occasional dizziness, headache, fatigue, nausea and mild gastrointestinal discomfort. Rare adverse reactions: allergic reactions (skin rash, pruritus, urticaria), severe anaphylactic shock (rare); long-term large-dose use may cause granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia and other blood system abnormalities (reversible after drug withdrawal). Note: The incidence of adverse reactions is low with conventional dosage, high safety for short-term use.

Notes: Do not mix with other drugs in the same syringe/infusion bottle to avoid precipitation and drug interaction; slow intravenous injection is recommended to prevent hypotension and arrhythmia; stop medication immediately if rash, fever or other allergic symptoms occur; short-term use is recommended (no more than 3 days for fever, no more than 7 days for pain) to avoid long-term side effects; store in a cool and dark place, avoid light and high temperature.
