Diphenhydramine Hydrochloride Injection

1.Mechanism of action: Competes for blocking H1 receptor, inhibits allergic reaction mediated by histamine, relieves allergic symptoms, has central sedative, antiemetic and anticholinergic effects, the effect is rapid after injection, and the duration is about 4-6 hours.

2.Indications: Used for acute allergic diseases such as urticaria, angioneurotic edema, allergic rhinitis; allergic reaction induced by blood transfusion and drug; pruritus skin diseases; motion sickness, vomiting, Meniere's disease; adjuvant treatment of allergic shock.

3.Usage and dosage: Intramuscular injection. Adult: 20mg once, 1-2 times a day, the maximum dose is 50mg each time. Pediatric: 0.5-1mg per kg body weight each time, intramuscular injection, or follow the doctor's advice.

4.Contraindications: Contraindicated in patients allergic to this product and other antihistamines.

5.Cautious population: Use with caution in patients with glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy, pyloric obstruction, intestinal obstruction; use with caution in patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, hypertension, hyperthyroidism; pregnant and lactating women, infants and young children use with caution; elderly patients use with caution and reduce the dose properly.

6.Adverse reactions: Common drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite; rare palpitation, hypotension, rash, itching, blurred vision, difficulty in urination; excessive dosage may cause central excitation, convulsion, coma and other symptoms.
