Pharmacological category: Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs)
1.Mechanism:
Fever reduction, pain relief, and anti-inflammatory effect: Inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, reducing inflammatory responses, alleviating pain, and regulating the thermoregulatory center to exert antipyretic effects. Absorption is rapid after oral administration, with mild and long-lasting onset, lasting for 4 to 6 hours.
2.Indications:
Used for fever caused by common cold or influenza in children and adults; relieve mild to moderate pain, such as headache, joint pain, migraine, toothache, muscle pain, neuralgia, dysmenorrhea, and also alleviate swelling and pain symptoms caused by inflammation. The syrup formulation has good palatability and is more suitable for children and those who have difficulty swallowing tablets. Dosage: Oral administration. For adults, 10-20 ml per dose, three times a day; for children, the dosage is based on body weight, 20-30 mg/kg per day, divided into 3 doses. Or as prescribed by a doctor. Taking after meals can reduce gastrointestinal irritation.
3. Precautions:
This product and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not be used by those who are allergic to them; patients with asthma who are allergic to aspirin should also avoid using it. Cautionary groups: Pregnant and lactating women should use it with caution; patients with gastrointestinal diseases, those with impaired liver or kidney function, those with coagulation disorders, and those with heart failure should use it with caution; children should use it under the supervision of adults.
4. Adverse Reactions:
Common symptoms include gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea, vomiting, burning sensation in the stomach, mild digestive disorders, stomach pain, and constipation; rare reactions include rash, itching, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, and edema. Occasionally, there is a slight increase in transaminase levels, which can recover after discontinuation of the medication; excessive consumption may lead to serious adverse reactions such as gastrointestinal bleeding and ulcers.
5. Precautions:
This product is a symptomatic treatment drug. The use of fever-reducing effect should not exceed 3 days in a row, and the use of pain-relieving effect should not exceed 5 days in a row. If the symptoms do not subside, seek medical attention promptly. Do not take it together with other drugs containing ibuprofen or fever-reducing and pain-relieving agents to avoid overdose; during the course of taking the medicine, do not drink alcohol or alcoholic beverages.
