Pharmacological category: Broad-spectrum anthelmintic drug
1.Mechanism of action:
Inhibits the absorption of glucose by nematode worms, tapeworms and flukes, depletes the glycogen stored in the worm body, blocks the energy metabolism of parasites, causes the parasites to die due to energy deficiency, has a broad anthelmintic spectrum and strong effect, oral absorption is good, the drug can reach the tissues and body fluids of the whole body, and can kill both adult worms and larvae and eggs.
2.Indications:
Used for the treatment of intestinal parasitic infections including ascariasis, enterobiasis, hookworm disease, trichuriasis, strongyloidiasis; also effective for taeniasis, clonorchiasis, fasciolopsiasis and echinococcosis; adjuvant treatment for cysticercosis, suitable for adults and children.
3.Usage and dosage:
Oral administration, swallow with warm water, take on an empty stomach in the morning or before going to bed. Adult: 0.4g (2 tablets) once a day, for 1~3 consecutive days; for echinococcosis and cysticercosis, increase the dosage to 0.4g twice a day, the course of treatment is several weeks to months, follow the doctor's advice. Pediatric: Children over 2 years old take 0.2g (1 tablet) once a day, for 1~3 consecutive days; children under 2 years old use it under the guidance of a doctor, the dosage is halved.
4.Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients allergic to this product, benzimidazole derivatives and any excipients of the preparation; contraindicated in pregnant women and lactating women; contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic, renal and cardiac insufficiency and active ulcer disease.
5.Cautious population:
Use with caution in patients with mild to moderate hepatic and renal insufficiency (monitor liver and kidney function during medication); use with caution in patients with a history of epilepsy and central nervous system diseases; elderly patients with reduced organ function use with caution and reduce the dosage appropriately; infants under 2 years old use it strictly according to the doctor's advice; patients with anemia and malnutrition should be supplemented with nutrition before medication.
